jane's on the common is the gourmet of home-cooked comfort food.
They make scrumptious meals from scratch, using real food and fresh ingredients sourced from local producers and suppliers whenever possible. The restaurant was Jane Wright's "way of getting back in touch with whats important in life: food and people." She once told us she had even used some of her mother's recipes, which she prepared in a gourmet-style, that keeps her customers coming back for more.
jane's Chef Paolo Colbertaldo continues to create great things in the kitchen, stating "At jane's it all comes together for me - a philosophy of life that meshes with my philosophy of food: Slow, delicious, sustainable." …
jane's relaxed fine dining atmosphere gives you the comfort of home cooking in a chic, comfortable setting. They even have one of the family's old table and chair sets in the dining room with a view of the commons, along with the newer cozy seating nook at the back.
If you don't have time for the dining experience, jane's next door has everything you need to take home and cook today, from their "Fresh" selection, or for another day, from their "Frozen" case. Or just stop in for a coffee, sandwich home-made sweet treat on your way by.
