Feeling Healthy This Winter
Winter months are considered by many to be the most depressive of the year. It’s no wonder with the days being short and our bodies deprived of sunlight, vitamins and fresh air. And let’s face it, there is a bit of a post-Olympic-depression-like syndrome that sets in post-holidays that’s harder to fight this time of year when we get up and come home in the dark, in the frigid cold weather!
But rest assured, the winter solstice has passed and the days are getting longer. And there are things you can do to get out of and stay out of a winter slump. Turn your blues into blessings! Embrace new talents and mindsets and create a more positive lifestyle in the process of embarking on exciting, new journeys. Try or expand on natural healing, yoga, indoor hobbies and outdoor activities below.
And if you’re short on vitamins, be sure to see our Foods to Feed your Heart & Soul section above, for recipes and nutritious food ideas from jane’s on the commons, Tarek’s Mediterranean Restaurant and Life’s Good Soup.
