Feeling Cozy with Your Little Ones This Winter
Ahh … the fun of winter with little ones:
- stepping in the puddle that once was snow that they left near the door;
- the marathon of dressing them to go outside;
- the “I’m too cold” comment that comes minutes after you get to your snowy destination, after going through the dress-up marathon;
- or better still the “I need to go to the bathroom” comment that comes… yes, you guessed it, minutes after you get to the snow-filled destination!
OK… we know. It’s not really that bad. In fact, it’s great! There’s nothing like the excitement you feel when you witness your daughter get on skates for the first time; or see your son take his first slap shot; or watch your children make snow angels; or build a snowman together; or come in for hot cocoa afterwards (Fair Trade of course!).
But with children, winter can nonetheless be challenging at times, and perhaps moreso if you have little ones. Here are a few tips to make it easier for your to get through the cold, wet, white stuff with your little people:
