Green Spring Clean
What better way to start your spring cleaning then to help clean-up Mother Earth by partaking in a local clean-up effort?! As tradition dictates, each year on April 22nd, people take part in clean-up efforts for streets, neighbourhoods, beachfronts, and more, to celebrate Mother Earth and the coming of spring.
Look for Earth Day events going on in your neighbourhood. Organize one yourself. Or attend the following Earth Day celebrations & events:
- EAC Earth Day Celebration (Wed. Apr. 22nd @ 8am-6pm):
- Where? Victoria Park (across from the Public Gardens)
- What? Food, fun, live entertainment information about eco-friendly initiatives & how you can help. Bring your own mug for FREE coffee by Just US!
- Walk for Water (Apr. 22nd @ 8:30am-Registration starts @ 8am):
- Where? Point Pleasant Park
- What? Fund Raiser for benefit of NS Nature Trust.
- Cost? $10/ person
- By Whom? Aveda’s Earth Month campaign (http://nsnt.ca/earthmonth2009/)
- An Evening with Deepak Chopra (Apr. 22nd @ 7:30pm):
- Where? World Trade & Convention Center
- What? Talk re: the nature of consciousness & how to make a better world

- Family Yoga Class (Sunday, April 26th from 10-10:45am):
Spring Things will be the theme of the class for children aged 3-5 years old.- Where? Bloomfield Centre (rm #208), 2786 Agricola St (near Almon St)
- What? Enjoy the practice of yoga together with your young yogi or yogini
