Recapture the traditions of old and learn how to preserve the fruits of the earth so you can enjoy them when they are no longer in season!
As part of our on-line and community-based Everyday Gourmet series, CRUSISIS Sustainable Living would like to invite you to take part in a Preserve-Making Workshop. We’re working with local preserve-makers to develop a workshop that will be fun and informative.
Dates and Halifax locations TBA. However, we are hoping to host a class in the summer &/or the fall of 2010. (registration dependant)
And of course, since we’re all about sustainable living at CRUSISIS, we plan to use local ingredients (fresh or fresh-frozen) as much as possible, grown right here in our backyard! Nova Scotia’s harvest is tasty, diverse, plentiful and waiting to be bought up for your preserve-making pleasure!
Email us if you are interested to attend and if so, let us know what days and times of the week work best for you. We are currently proposing a Thursday night from 6-8pm, or a Sunday afternoon from 3-5pm if you prefer a weekend.
The public is welcome to attend for a $12 entry fee. A small additional fee for ingredients may apply.
So forward this to all your family and friends and tell them about our great opportunity to have some fun with local, preserve-making with CRUSISIS.ca! And be sure to come back often to check updates and try our new on-line events registration services coming soon! Thanks.
