Advertising with CRUSISIS is Easy: Just 5 Simple Steps!
- You select preferred ad size & placement location.
- You fill-out the ADVERTISER'S FORM with your ad info &/or graphics.
- We confirm by email that we can post your ad when & where you want it.
- You send payment for ad & we send you the proof.
- You review and approve the ad proof & we post your ad on the CRUSISIS website on agreed upon date and for specified duration.
The cost of our ads is extremely reasonable. Entry-level ads start as low as approx. $20/mo. (+ HST), depending on ad placement on our website. (See Costs Schedule below for more details.)
Each ad is posted for the duration of one of our Seasonal Guides to Sustainable Living. The Guides are launched with the change of the 4 seasons, as well as with the 5th honourary season: the Holidays. Therefore, Guides are launched 5 times per year and last approx. 2½ months each, enabling lengthy ad viewing time and targeted exposure for your organization.

Step # 1 – You Select Ad Size & Location
Here you have 2 quick choices:
- Select Ad SIZE
- Select Ad LOCATION
The SIZE and LOCATION of ad you choose will define the ad COST & VISIBILITY (See #3. below for Costs Schedule.)
You will need to input your SIZE and LOCATION preference in the ADVERTISER'S FORM (Step #2) once you’ve read the size, location and cost details below and made your decision. If you like, you could jot down your preferred size and location on a separate sheet of paper or refer back to this section when you get to the ADVERTISER'S FORM mentioned in Step #2.
Otherwise, you will be prompted on the ADVERTISER’S FORM, as well as during the payment process with a menu of ad costs based on size and location.
1. Select Ad SIZE:
There are 2 sizes of ads available: small (sm) or large (lg). See small and large sample ads (actual size) to the right.
1) Small Ad (138 pixels wide x up to 200 pixels high)

2) Large Ad: (138 pixels wide x up to 400 pixels high)

2. Select Ad LOCATION:
There are 4 locations where you can place your ads on the CRUSISIS website. Ad placement (or location) defines its viewing priority and its cost.
An ad become more expensive as its placement (or location) becomes more prominent or more visible. Possible ad placements (or locations) in order of most visible to least visible are:
- Website Home Page
- Top of Current Guide
- Top of one of the Guide’s Main Themes
- Ad placed in one of Theme’s Main Sections
Each Guide usually has between 6-12 main Themes. And each Theme usually has 4-6 main Sections. Themes and sections can be toggled to or “surfed” easily from multiple links and menus throughout the website. Also, the Guide includes a static contents menu that always remains visible as people surf the Guide.
Multiple menus and links throughout the Guide and website, enable the more popular or highly visited sections to always be accessible (ie: where you want your ad!). People are never more than a click away from your ad at all times. And remember, the duration of each guide (or each ad posting) is approx. 2 1/2 months, for lengthy ad viewing and exposure of your organization to our targeted market.
3. Ad COSTS & DURATION:

Step # 2 – You Fill-out ADVERTISER'S FORM with Your Ad Info, Text &/or Graphics
Congratulations! The first and most involved step is finished. Now it’s the fun part. You need to determine:
- How you want your ad to look (ie: if you have graphics, a logo, etc)
- What you want your ad to read (ie: “ad copy” text, address, tel#, email, special product, service, etc…)
You will need to fill out the ADVERTISER'S FORM once you’ve read the details below and made your decisions about how you want your ad to look and what you want your ad to say. If you like, jot down text and graphics details (below) on a separate sheet of paper, or refer back to this section when you get to the ADVERTISER'S FORM.
Otherwise, you will be prompted on the ADVERTISER’S FORM, for the text and graphics related to your ad.
And also, please remember to select the preferred SIZE and LOCATION of your ad on the ADVERTISER’S FORM, if you haven’t already done so.
1. How You Want Your Ad to Look:
Many organizations have pre-approved marketing ads. If so, send us your pre-set ad graphic (JPG or GIF file of 72 pixels per inch)
OR send us a file of (1) your logo or (2) graphic desired in the ad.
Please include any special instructions regarding the logo graphics in the ADVERTISER'S FORM.
2. What You Want Your Ad to Say:
Send us your desired “ad copy” or input text in the ADVERTISER'S FORM exactly as you want it to appear on your ad.. We will allow 1 set of revisions per ad. However, we will not edit text received for form and format. Therefore, please ensure text is accurate when sent.
Please include any special instructions regarding the text in the ADVERTISER'S FORM.

Step # 3 – We Confirm by Email That We Can Post Your Ad When & Where You Want
We will send you an email to confirm we can post your ad when and where you want it on the website.
Presto! On to step #4…
Step # 4 – You Send Payment for Ad & We Send You the Proof
Once you receive your confirmation for your ad location (above in Step #3), it’s time to get your ad ready to post on the CRUSISIS website and to formalize our advertising services transaction.
- Please send us payment for the ad size and location you selected by clicking the link to PayPal, or by sending a check or money order to address below. When using PayPal, a price menu will allow you to choose ad service option based on the desired size and location you entered in the ADVERTISER’S FORM (Step #2).
- Payment should be sent immediately following the receipt confirmation (Step #3) to ensure your desired size and location remain available.
- Payments can be made via PayPal or by mailing a check or money order to: P. O. Box #31023, Halifax, NS, B3K 5T9. Please You need JavaScript to see my email address to advise us a check has been sent to ensure your payment is processed and ad preference is available.
- Proof can be expected by email within 5-10 business days (or less) after receipt of payment.
Now you're at the final step!
Step # 5 – You Approve Ad Proof & We Post Your Ad on CRUSISIS
After payment is received and we have sent you your ad proof (Step #4), it’s time for your review and approval of the ad proof. Only 1 set of revisions is performed per ad proof (if required).
- Upon receipt of proof, please review ad and confirm your written approval to CRUSISIS by email as soon as possible, possible to ensure ad can be posted in a timely manner. Thank you.
- If 1 set of revisions is required, please email CRUSISIS any changes required or send revised graphics.
- a. We will email a revised proof to you within 5-10 business days (or less).
- b. Upon receipt of REVISED proof, please review ad and confirm your written approval to CRUSISIS by email as soon as possible to ensure ad can be posted in a timely manner. Thank you.
- Upon written approval of your ad, we post your ad on the CRUSISIS website on agreed upon date and for specified duration.
